[Letter from the Devs/Ops] Thanks for the 6th Anniversary

Letter From the Devs/Ops

We thank you for your continued support.

This is Development Director Iwasaki.

Thank you very much for playing SMT Dx2.

SMT Dx2 celebrated its five-and-a-half-year anniversary this summer, and its sixth anniversary will soon be upon us.

That our game has been able to continue this long is thanks to none other than you, the players.

From our sixth year and beyond, we hope to continue providing a fun and engaging experience filled with new challenges that you can't get anywhere else.

After reviewing the survey conducted during our Fan Meeting held in August and considering the opinions and suggestions we receive daily through inquiries,

I wish to speak to you, through this letter, about all that has happened in SMT Dx2 this year, and what is to come going forward.

◆This Year's Updates

We have received many opinions and suggestions until now, and I apologize that we have been unable to implement many of them.

The multitude of features in a game can often lead to considerable consumption of playtime. However, I believe we have found a way to help reduce some of this excess.

This year, we added a Skip feature in Hell's Park, as well as a Skill Activation Animation Skip feature in Dx2 Duel.

We have released many new demons this year, including those introduced in collaboration events.

However, I am aware that many players are calling for balance updates to improve demons that have already been released.

Although we performed fewer balance updates compared to the previous year, I believe the updates we did implement have resulted in significantly strengthened playable demons.

In October, we added an Alternate Route to Chapter 14 of the Main Story.

We have received many comments asking about what will happen with the story in the future.

Know that the story is headed toward a climax and that Season 2 will soon reach its end.

◆About the Next Update (7.0.00)

As mentioned in a previous live broadcast, as well as at the Fan Meeting, we plan to add a new Training feature to the game.

This player-requested feature focuses not just on having strong demons, but on giving you the ability to train up your favorite demons to their full potential.

We will provide more details about this new feature through a live broadcast accompanying its release, so that is all I can share for now. However, rest assured that the development of this feature is in its final stage.

We are working hard to add the finishing touches to this feature, so please look forward to it.

◆Future Updates

First, let me talk about user-friendliness. The Skill Activation Animation Skip feature we added this year seems to have been warmly received.

While this has been implemented for Dx2 Duel, we plan to add this feature to other battles going forward.

We are also looking into the development of other new features that will further improve the user experience.

There are still many demons that have not yet appeared in SMT Dx2.

We aim to keep introducing demons that will excite you, our valued players.

Furthermore, many different types of skills have been added since release, raising the bar for what is required in battles.

Our goal is to provide you with powerful demons whose applications in various fights are easily understandable. Therefore, in addition to introducing new demons, we will also continue to enhance those already released.

Though Season 2 of the game's Main Story will conclude next year, Season 3 will follow.

There is still more to the story of SMT Dx2.

Season 3 is planned to have content that gets to the heart of the mysteries surrounding the Aura Gate, while also raising new and interesting ones into the world of Dx2.

There are also plans for an Intermission to be added as was done between Seasons 1 and 2.

Please look forward to the continuation of Dx2's grand storyline.

◆Lastly

We have received many comments and suggestions from you, our fans. I apologize that we have not been able to respond to all of these.

We do hope to actualize your suggestions as much as possible, so please look forward to what future updates will bring.

As I mentioned in the beginning, SMT Dx2 will soon enter its sixth year since release.

From our sixth anniversary onward, we will continue striving to create engaging new content and a more user-friendly experience.

We will keep working as a team to improve the game, so we ask for your continued support of Dx2 Shin Megami Tensei: Liberation.
